The African Millennial (3rd Edition)

The fabulous third edition of Africanism Today tagged the African millennial held on Saturday, the 19th of May 2018 at Cafe Neo, Victoria Island, Lagos. It was a serene environment filled with bright young minds.

The event featured a panel discussion with Fisayo Fosudo, Chef Princewill Okpala, Wumi Tuase, and Joseph Akinde-Peters. The panel was headed by OnyinyeOlufunmi. The talks were centred around fashion, food, entrepreneurship for an African millennial who wants to export themselves, what they do and Africa through tech.

Unlike previous event editions of Africanism Today, we intentionally decided to have an exclusive event that featured a smaller audience. As expected, it was a huge success.

There was a fashion show that showcased different African attires and the models giving a quick talk about their attires.

We had a captivating musical performance by the lovely Som and her guitarists Stephano and Clay. There was also an art exhibition of African art works. At the end of the event, everyone referred to themselves as the “African millennial”. The next event comes up in Namibia by December.

The event was proudly planned by Onyinye Olufunmi Nwangwu and Divine Oyindamola of Africanism Today.
